David Archer
Chief Executive Officer, Savannah Resources PLC

David Archer is a non-practising Barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, holds a B.Ec and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He has had wide experience in the mining industry for over 30 years in coal, copper, zinc, iron ore and mineral sands. David has held executive and non-executive roles in a number of listed companies and has been actively involved in the international resources industry. He is the Senior Independent Director of Anglo Pacific Group Plc. He is the former Managing Director and Deputy Chairman of Savage Resources Limited, Managing Director of Hillgrove Resources Limited, Executive Chairman of PowerTel Limited and Chairman of Hostworks Group Limited. He was a director of Eastern Star Gas Limited from 2006 to 2009.



Eric Bender
General Manager, Markets, Strategic Services & Publications, TZMI Inc.

Eric leads MSSP business globally. Eric joined TZMI in 2009 and has more than 15 years experience in the chemical industry. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University and has prior experience in the chemical industry with Eastman Chemical and Momentive in various corporate strategic roles. Eric’s TiO2 pigment experience came from Tronox, where he held numerous positions from Engineering to Strategic Sourcing, Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions.



Matthew Blackwell
Head of Marketing, Mineral Sands, Iluka Resources Limited

Matthew Blackwell is Head of Marketing, Mineral Sands at Iluka Resources Limited and a member of the Iluka Executive Team.

Matthew joined Iluka in 2004 as President - U.S. operations. Then, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer he had responsibilities for Land Management and as General Manager - USA before being appointed Head of Marketing, Mineral Sands in February 2014.

Matthew has more than 20 years of resource industry experience including senior positions in project management, maintenance, production and business development across the gold, copper, uranium, phosphate, potash and mineral sands sectors. Prior to joining Iluka, Matthew was Executive Vice President of TSX listed Asia Pacific Resources and based in Thailand. He also held Australian based positions with WMC Resources and Normandy Poseidon.

Matthew is a graduate of the University of Queensland and Harvard Business School.



Javier Cabedo
General Manager, Endeka Ceramics

Javier was born in 1983. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Jaime I of Castellón and a degree in Business Management (D.A.G.E). From 2013, Javier has led the team developing and producing ceramic digital inks for Endeka Ceramics. In 2014, he was appointed General Manager for SE Asia unit. Javier was also rewarded with a position as a Shareholder in 2016.



Gavin Diener
Chief Operating Officer, TZ Minerals International Pty Ltd

Gavin joined TZMI in 2008 and has technical, management and business skills gained through experience in plant operation, pilot plant test work, plant design and commissioning, process optimisation, business analysis, operations management and product development. After graduating from the University of Natal with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Gavin

spent 16 years in the Anglo American Group working in mineral sands, gold and iron operations. In 1993 he joined the Namakwa Sands project and was involved in smelting and minerals processing aspects and also as Operations Manager responsible for the mineral separation business unit. Prior to becoming the COO at TZMI, Gavin was the head of Technical & Engineering Services and also the general manager of Allied Mineral Services.



Ivar Fossum
Chief Executive Officer, Nordic Mining

Mr Fossum has 20 years experience in management positions in Norsk Hydro (oil/gas and fertilizers) and FMC Technologies. He has a broad international experience and has been general manager of Norsk Hydro East Africa Ltd. in Nairobi, Kenya. Mr Fossum holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. He has served as CEO for Nordic Mining since 2006. Mr Fossum resides in Asker, Norway.



Sylvain Gehler
Chairman, UKTMP

Sylvain Gehler was born in Strasbourg, France and studied at Strasbourg University where he graduated in literature and languages. In 1972 he joined Nichro-Alloys in London, a firm specialised in the processing of high temperature Alloy scrap where he became a director. In 1983 he joined Sassoon Metals and Chemicals in Brussels, where he was looking after their cobalt business in Africa as well as sales of metals and minerals to the Soviet Union. In 1994 Sassoon Metals and Chemicals became Specialty Metals Company SA and he is now the managing director of this company. Sylvain Gehler is also chairman of the board of Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Plant. Specialty Metals Company SA is the major shareholder of Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Plant.



Luke Graham
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Strandline Resources Limited

Mr Graham, joined ASX listed mineral sands developer Strandline Resources Limited (Strandline) in 2016 as CEO and MD.

Mr Graham has a broad range of international leadership, technical and commercial expertise in the execution of major engineering projects within the resources (mine and port) and industrial sectors, including mineral sands, coal, iron ore, copper, gold and alumina. Extensive experience in managing financial operational performance and achieving strong business growth in difficult market conditions.

Since joining the Company, Mr Graham has ramped up Strandline’s exploration and project development activities across their large portfolio of mineral sands assets in Tanzania and Australia, with particular focus on advancing the zircon-rich Fungoni deposit near Dar es Salaam Tanzania, as well as building mineral resources further to the north of the country and signing a JV with Rio Tinto to accelerate exploration in the south of Tanzania; Strandline’s development optionality continues to enhance.



Bruce Griffin
Senior Vice President Strategic Development, Lomon Billions

Bruce Griffin joined Lomon Billions in 2017 as Senior Vice President Strategic Development. His role is to lead the company’s domestic and international expansion in feedstock, pigment and titanium metal. Bruce is an experienced executive with international experience in mining, oil and gas, chemicals and agribusiness. Prior to Lomon Billions, Bruce was CEO of TZMI (2014 to 2016) and World Titanium Resources (2011 to 2013) and held a number of positions over seven years at BHP Billiton including four years as Vice President Titanium where he was responsible for BHP Billiton’s titanium business, including the Richards Bay Minerals joint venture with Rio Tinto and the Corridor Sands and Tigen projects in Mozambique. His career started at Shell working as an engineer and economist in New Zealand, Venezuela and the Netherlands. Bruce has also worked as a consultant for Bain and Company and as a senior executive at GrainCorp in Australia. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Process Engineering, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and an MBA.



Keven Harlow
Executive Director , Zircon Industry Association

A metallurgical graduate, Dr Harlow spent over 20 years in the global metals industry where he was able to marry his technical knowledge with sales and marketing experience. He served as Managing Director of Höganäs (GB) Limited for five years. Dr Harlow became involved with the EU-REACH regulation in 2006, supporting various companies and trade associations with REACH compliance strategies and consortia management. In 2016, Dr Harlow assumed the role of Executive Director of the Zircon Industry Association (ZIA) - the international trade association for those companies involved in the zircon / zirconia / zirconium value chain.



Victor Hugo
Chief Operating Officer, Kalbar Resources

Victor Hugo graduated in 1993 from the University of Natal, South Africa with a PhD in Geology. His thesis was on titanium minerals along the east coast of South Africa. Since that time, he has accumulated over 25 years of experience in the titanium and zircon industries, having worked in a variety of roles for Richards Bay Minerals, Cable Sands, RGC, TZMI and Iluka. He spent the last 13 years working for Iluka at a senior leadership level in roles which included GM Sales and Marketing (2003 to 2009), GM Product and Technical Development (2010 to 2013) and GM Exploration (2013 to 2016). In February 2017, Victor started working as a consultant for Kalbar Resources and has since then been appointed to Chief Operating Officer with Kalbar.



Bert Koth
Managing Director and Partner Denham Mining Fund, Denham Capital

Bert Koth is a Managing Director and Partner, responsible for mining investments at Denham Capital. He joined Denham Capital in 2008. Prior to joining Denham, Bert worked at BHP Billiton in business development, and at ING Barings, and Deutsche Bank in their metals and mining corporate finance teams in London, South Africa and the Netherlands.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of African focused mineral platform Pangea, Auctus Minerals and Pembroke Resources. He has been working in the metals and mining industry for 19 years and lived, travelled and worked in a wide range of countries, including South Africa, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Brazil and many others. Bert received a graduate degree and a PhD in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics, Austria. He speaks English, German, French, Spanish and Russian.



Jorulf Kyrkjeeide
Chief Marketing Officer, TiZir Limited

Jorulf Kyrkjeeide (51) has a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Chemistry from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

In 2003, Jorulf joined Tinfos Titan & Iron in Tyssedal as Marketing Director, a position he had until 2010. In this position, he was responsible for sales and marketing of titanium slag and high purity pig iron from the operation in Tyssedal, Norway. Responsibility for purchasing coal was introduced in 2005 as part of the sales and marketing function.

In 2011, Jorulf was appointed Commercial Director of Eramet Titanium & Iron AS (ETI). From 2012, Jorulf was appointed Chief Marketing Officer/Vice President Sales, TiZir. In this function, his responsibility includes sales and marketing support for all products from the TiZir facilities in Senegal and Norway.



Olena Lesnyak
Sales, Marketing and Strategic Development Director, Velta Company

Olena joined the Velta team at an active starting point of the project in 2011 as Head of the Marketing Department.

Having several years of notable experience in international sales, Olena established primary contacts and built relationships with most of the market participants even before the processing plant was commissioned. After the construction of the factory and the start of production, Olena headed the sales direction of the company.

Having established the policy of the sales department, communication and stable cooperation with the customers, Olena led the direction of Strategic Development of the company, looking ahead into the future of the industry.

Currently, Olena is in charge of several projects related to the expansion of the company's resource base, vertical integration and innovations.

Olena has two graduation diplomas in Psychology and in Economics of Enterprise.



Galvin Lim
Principal Consultant, TZ Minerals International Pty Ltd

Galvin joined the TZMI team in 2010 after five and a half years with Deloitte Consulting, spending two of those years in the London practice. Galvin has undertaken a range of assignments in the sector, including but not limited to, supply/demand analysis for titanium feedstock and zircon, price forecasting, cost analysis and benchmarking, value chain analysis.



Alister MacDonald
General Manager – Marketing, Alkane Resources Ltd

Alister MacDonald is General Manager-Marketing of Alkane Resources, a multi-commodity mining and exploration company developing its flagship Dubbo Project, a new source of Critical Metals in New South Wales, Australia. Alister studied ceramic engineering at the University of New South Wales, and is a specialist in technical marketing, business development, and strategic supply chain analysis for Zirconium, Hafnium, Rare Earths, and other minor metals and minerals. Alister has over 30 years’ international experience in various capacities across the zirconium/hafnium industry, from mineral sands to zirconium chemicals and precursors, and technical ceramics components, with an in depth understanding of the key issues facing critical metals supply from China and elsewhere.



Peter Malpas
Director, Braemar ACM Shipbrokers

Peter started his working career joining the British Merchant Navy as an Engineering Officer serving onboard refrigerated cargo vessels and a product tanker. On leaving the sea, he decided to attend University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology (UWIST) in Cardiff, where he successfully gained a Bachelor of Science with honours in Maritime Commerce.

On graduation, he joined Fairplay Publications in London, into the role of Data Manager and following the merger between Fairplay and Lloyd’s Register’s information department in 2001, he was promoted to Director of Information.

Peter migrated to Australia in 2006 and took a position as a Researcher for Braemar Seascope to support clients. In July 2011, he became responsible for the Perth office. Subsequently in July 2014, Braemar Seascope merged With ACM Shipbrokers to create Braemar ACM Shipbrokers. His main role is to support Braemar ACM’s clients and brokers with a macro perspective of the dry cargo market by which to make more informed medium and long term decisions.




David McCoy
Executive Chairman, TZ Minerals International

David has been involved in the mineral sands and TiO2 pigment industry since 1997 in Australia and the US. He joined TZMI in 2004 and heads up the Markets and Strategic Services team on a wide variety of projects across opaque mineral, metal and chemical sectors. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University of Technology as well as a Masters of Engineering Management (International Finance). David has worked for RGC (now Iluka Resources) and Tiwest in process engineering, technical and engineering services roles, and in business management and global supply chain functions as a Senior Business Analyst with Kerr-McGee Chemical LLC in Oklahoma City USA.



Bruce McFadzean
Managing Director, Sheffield Resources

A qualified mining engineer with almost 40 years’ experience in the global resources industry, Mr McFadzean has led the financing, development and operation of several new mines around the world. Bruce McFadzean’s professional career includes 15 years with BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto in a variety of positions and four years as Managing Director of successful Western Australia gold miner Catalpa Resources Limited (ASX:CAH).



Rod McIllree
Managing Director, Bluejay Mining PLC

Mr Roderick McIllree is a corporate geologist. A graduate of Curtin University School of Mines, he has spent decades working in frontier locations during which time he has gained a global perspective of commodities. Having worked in Greenland for the last 11 years he was the founder of Greenland Gas & Oil and managed the licensing of Jameson on behalf of the company. As well as founding GGO, Roderick was the founding Managing Director of Greenland Minerals and Energy Ltd which worked successfully to overturn the multi decade Danish / Greenlandic ban on Uranium exploitation/exploration.



Patrick Mutz
Managing Director, Image Resources NL

Patrick has more than thirty years of international experience in technical (metallurgist), managerial, consulting and executive roles in all aspects of the mining industry from exploration through project development, mining and mine rehabilitation. He has operational experience in open cut, underground, and in-situ mining and related processing, on projects in the USA, Germany, Africa and Australia.

He has served as CEO/Managing Director of a number of publicly listed and private mining companies based in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia, primarily involved with project development and company transitioning from exploration to production.

Mr Mutz is a Fellow of the AusIMM and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Science (honours) and an MBA from the University of Phoenix in the US.

Prior to joining Image, Patrick was CEO of Murray Zircon Pty Ltd, the owner and operator of the Mindarie Mineral Sands Project in South Australia.



Martin Purvis
Chief Executive Officer, MZI Resources Ltd

Martin qualified as a mining engineer at Leeds University in the UK and has over 35 years' experience in the industry. He has worked in senior management and executive roles across several continents and cultures, managing all aspects of the business chain from exploration and project development, production and operations, through to sales and marketing and mine rehabilitation. He has also been project leader in a range of M&A transactions, equity and debt structuring programs and company listings on both the ASX and SGX. During his career Martin has worked in a broad range of diversified mineral commodities, including base metals, precious metals, industrial and bulk commodities. He has held the role of CEO in both listed and unlisted resource companies, and also worked as lead manager with a UK-based international private equity group. He is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.



Henry Seiner
Vice President - Business Strategy, TIMET, Titanium Metals Corporation

Mr. Seiner, TIMET's Vice President of Business Strategy, oversees the Marketing, Product Management, Purchasing and Production Planning organizations for TIMET. In this role, he has responsibility for and visibility into all aspects of TIMET’s supply chain.

Henry is based in TIMET's Toronto, OH facility which is geographically and structurally located in the middle of TIMET's global supply chain. He has held various positions in Production Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Marketing in his 26 year tenure at TIMET.

He is currently serving as President of the International Titanium Association and is chairman of the ITA Membership committee.

Prior to coming to TIMET, Henry spent six years at U. S. Steel Corporation in Sales, Marketing and Production Planning. His educational background includes a Masters Degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and a Bachelors Degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. Henry is a native of Pittsburgh and continues to reside in Western Pennsylvania.



Deependrah Singh
Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Rare Earths Ltd

Shri Deependra Singh is the Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Rare Earths Ltd (IREL) a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the aegis of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. Prior to this, he served as Director (Marketing) in Indian Rare Earths Ltd. for about 5 years. Shri Singh is holding a Master’s degree in Technology with specialisation in Industrial Design and Marketing Management. He has rich and varied experience spanning over more than 3 decades in the field of Strategic Corporate Planning, Sales & Marketing, Project Management, Production Planning & Control, Quality Control & Quality Management System, Human Resource Management, Skill Development & Industrial Training. He is a qualified Lead assessor of NABL as per ISO/IEC/17025 and Lead auditor of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system. He has the credential of association in various projects under World Bank, OPEC and Asian Development Bank including prestigious projects of Central Govt. and UNIDO fellowship. He is recipient of several Awards including CMO Asia Award for Most Influential National Leaders in Marketing, Award for Most Influential Marketing Leaders by World Marketing Congress and CIMA as well as Time Ascent Global HR Excellence Award for CEO with HR Orientation. He is credited with about 25 presentations in international mineral and other conferences. Mr Singh is the President of the Rare Earths Association of India, Chairman of Processed Mineral Panel of CAPEXIL, Member of the Executive Board, Standing Committee on Public Sector (SCOPE) for 2017-19 and member of Managing Committee of Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) and other prestigious industrial associations.



Mike Stirzaker
Partner, Pacific Road Capital

Mike Stirzaker has 35 years’ commercial experience, mainly in mining finance and mining investment. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town and began his career in Sydney, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, before moving into investment banking roles in Sydney and in London. From 1993 to 2007 he was part of the natural resource advisory and investment firm, RFC Group Limited, where he became Joint Managing Director. He has also been a shareholder and Director of a privately owned physical metal trader and investor, and was the Finance Director of Finders Resources Limited, an ASX listed company producing copper in Indonesia. Mike joined the private equity mining fund manager, Pacific Road Capital, as a partner in late 2010. The Pacific Road Resources Funds invest globally to build mines and advance projects. One such substantial investment is Base Resources Limited, where Mike is Pacific Road’s nominee on the Board.



Simon Turner
President & Chief Executive Officer, Venator

Simon holds a BScEng in Process Metallurgy from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London and an MBA from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He began his career at Anglo American, one of the world’s largest mining companies in South Africa. In 1987 he joined Mathey Rustenburg Refiners in South Africa, where he led the commissioning of the world’s largest platinum refinery and held a range of production positions.

In 1990 Simon joined ICI’s Tioxide business in South Africa, transferring to the UK in 1999, when Huntsman bought the business. He held a variety of senior management positions including general manager for co-products, director of supply chain and shared services, vice president global sales, senior vice president and president of the Pigments division. In October 2014, Huntsman acquired Rockwood's performance additives and titanium dioxide businesses and Simon became president of the enlarged and newly named ‘Pigments and Additives’ division.

In August 2016, Simon became President and CEO of Huntsman’s Pigments and Additives spin-off, Venator. Venator is a leading global chemical company dedicated to the development and manufacture of titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives. It has a broad and versatile portfolio of leading pigments and additives that includes many well-known brand names and industry-leading products. Venator operates 27 facilities and employs more than 4,500 people, which serve customers in more than 110 countries.
